There has been so much miss-information about when and how the European warmbloods came about, and what exactly they are made of, and claims of hundreds of years for their esteemed inspection system and sport horse, that i think it prudent to post some of the articles and reports written in the 1800s about horse breeding in Europe

Horse-Breeding in Europe, written in approximately 1874 and first published in a English livestock journal, re-published in Wallace's Monthly November 1875....thanks to Miriam Bibby for solving the mystery of this report, it is one of many commissioned and presented for the House Select Committee, set up by the House of Lord's in 1873 to review the state of the horse.
